8-Day Ndutu Calving Season Luxury Safari

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari representative and transferred privately to your luxury hotel in Arusha. After check-in, enjoy the
rest of the day at leisure. Relax at the hotel, enjoy the facilities, or recover from your journey before beginning your safari adventure.
Your safari guide will meet you for a briefing about the itinerary and the exciting calving-season experience ahead. Enjoy dinner and overnight in Arusha.

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, begin your game drive through the park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, seasonal wetlands and diverse wildlife. Explore the park in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, lions and a variety of bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the safari before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Later, leave Tarangire and continue toward Karatu and the Ngorongoro Highlands.

After breakfast, depart toward the Ndutu Area, located in the southern Serengeti ecosystem. The drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the short-grass plains of
Ndutu. Upon arrival, begin your first game drive in search of the migrating wildebeest and zebra herds. During the calving season, the plains can become an incredible gathering point for the migration. Thousands of wildebeest may be present, with newborn calves attracting predators and creating exceptional wildlife-viewing opportunities. Continue with an afternoon game drive
before arriving at your luxury camp.

After an early breakfast, spend the entire day exploring the Ndutu plains. Today’s safari is dedicated to experiencing the Great Migration during the calving season. Your experienced guide will monitor the location of the herds and select the best areas for wildlife viewing. Look for large concentrations of wildebeest and zebra, as well as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals and other predators attracted by the abundance of prey. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing with the afternoon game drive. As the afternoon progresses, continue exploring the plains before returning to your luxury camp for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy another full day of exploration in the Ndutu and Southern Serengeti area. After breakfast, set out with your private safari guide to follow the movement of the migration. The calving
season offers an extraordinary opportunity to observe the natural cycle of the wildebeest migration. The open plains may be filled with wildebeest and zebra, while predators patrol the surrounding areas. Depending on wildlife movements, explore different areas of Ndutu and the southern Serengeti to maximize your chances of encountering the herds and predators. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive before continuing into the afternoon. Return to camp in the evening for dinner
and overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive around Ndutu before continuing toward the Central Serengeti. The route provides another opportunity to observe wildlife while traveling through the changing landscapes of the Serengeti ecosystem.
As you move north, explore the plains in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras and wildebeest. Arrive at your luxury accommodation in the Central Serengeti in
the afternoon. Depending on time, enjoy an additional afternoon game drive before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before departing toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Continue through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania,
enjoying wildlife viewing opportunities along the way. Arrive at your luxury accommodation in the Ngorongoro Highlands in the afternoon. Relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery surrounding the crater. An early evening at the lodge prepares you for the following day’s crater safari.

After an early breakfast, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for your final game drive. Explore the crater floor, home to an exceptional concentration of wildlife. Look out for lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the crater safari before ascending the crater walls. After leaving the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, continue by road toward Arusha.
