9-Day Lake Natron, Serengeti, Lake Manyara & Lake Eyasi Alkaline Lakes Safari

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari representative and transferred privately to your hotel in Arusha. After check-in, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Relax at the hotel and prepare for your upcoming adventure through Tanzania’s unique lake ecosystems and wildlife areas. Your safari guide will meet you for a briefing about the journey and the experiences planned for
the coming days.

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive toward the spectacular Lake Natron. The journey takes you through remote landscapes and traditional Maasai areas before reaching the dramatic surroundings of the lake. Lake Natron is one of Tanzania’s most extraordinary natural environments. Its highly alkaline waters create a unique ecosystem, and the lake is an important breeding area for lesser flamingos. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch before exploring the surrounding area. In the afternoon, take a guided walk around the lake and observe the landscape, birdlife and volcanic scenery. On clear days, you may also enjoy spectacular views of Ol Doinyo Lengai, the active volcano rising above the surrounding landscape. Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, spend a full day exploring the remarkable Lake Natron ecosystem. With a local guide, explore different areas around the lake and discover the geological and ecological
features that make Natron unique. The lake’s alkaline environment supports large populations of flamingos, particularly during favorable conditions. The surrounding volcanic landscape also provides dramatic scenery for photography and nature exploration. Depending on conditions and your interests, the day can include a guided nature walk, visits to viewpoints, and exploration of the lake’s surrounding areas. Enjoy lunch during the day’s activities before continuing your exploration. Return to Africa Safari Lake Natron in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart Lake Natron and continue toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. Travel through remote northern Tanzania before entering the Serengeti ecosystem. Upon entering the park, begin your first game drive. The scenery changes dramatically as you move from the volcanic landscapes around Natron to the vast grasslands of the Serengeti.
Look out for wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elephants, buffalo and, with luck, lions and other predators. Depending on the season, you may also encounter areas associated with the Great
Wildebeest Migration.nContinue with your game drive before arriving at your luxury accommodation for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive across the Serengeti. Spend the day exploring the plains with your experienced safari guide. Your route will be selected according to
current wildlife activity and seasonal conditions. The Serengeti is home to an extraordinary variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and numerous bird species. Depending on the season, you may also have the opportunity to encounter migrating herds. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive. Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before departing toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Travel through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania before arriving at Ngorongoro.

After breakfast, enjoy a final scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands before returning toward Arusha. The journey provides an opportunity to appreciate the changing landscapes of northern Tanzania as you leave the highlands behind. Arrive at Karatu in the afternoon, for your overnight stay at Karatu.

After breakfast, depart for Lake Eyasi, one of Tanzania’s most fascinating and less-visited lake environments. Today combines the lake’s natural environment with an authentic cultural experience. Visit a Hadza community and learn about their traditional hunter-gatherer lifestyle, relationship with the natural environment, and cultural traditions. You may also have the opportunity to meet members of the Datoga community, learning about their pastoral lifestyle, traditional crafts, metalworking and cultural heritage. Continue to explore the Lake Eyasi area and its surrounding landscapes before enjoying lunch. In the afternoon, return to Arusha. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Arusha Farm House.

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning before heading to Serval Wildlife. Take time to appreciate the contrasting landscapes of Kilimanjaro, surrounding hills and local communities before entering the Sanctuary. You will have the chance to take pictures with different animals, pet them and even to feed them. You will have the chance to see Giraffes, Zebras, White Lions, Waterbuck and other animals. The afternoon is free to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. You may also choose an optional guided nature walk or cultural activity, depending on availability.
